TE KAUPAPA | OUR STORY

We believe business can be the waka that brings about positive outcomes for better living here in Aotearoa. Paparahi was born from the whakaaro that we are clever thinkers, creators and navigators from the moment we entered this world. However, due to the lack of tautoko we often lose confidence in pursuing our dreams, ideas or vision. To regain a strong foothold here in Aotearoa, we need to emulate our tūpuna who were known for their strategic thinking, innovative ideas and bold decisions. Together we can support better outcomes for our people by pursuing our dreams and using business to solve the many problems we face.

KO WAI AU | WHO AM I

Kei ngā maunga whakahī, kei ngā wai tuku kiri, kei ngā matāwaka o te mōtū, tēnā tātou kātoa. He uri ahau nō Ngāti Raukawa ki Wharepūhunga, nō Ngāti Tūwharetoa, nō Te Ati Haunui a Pāpārangi. I whānau mai au i te taha o te awa o Whanganui. I tipu ake au ki Kirikiriroa. E noho ana au ki Tauranga Moana īnāianei. Ko Tia Sweet toku ingoa. Nō reira, tēnā tātou katoa.

At Paparahi we bring a strong bi-cultural lens to the way in which we support businesses, this is what makes us different. We acknowledge that both te ao Māori and te ao Pākehā play a key role in shaping the way we sustainably grow our businesses here in Aotearoa. With a strong foot in both worlds, we are able to draw on pūrakau Māori to understand the western way of doing business as well as developing business models, frameworks and processes that align with a values based approach.

This is what brought to life Paparahi, which can be understood as foundations. Papatūānuku e takoto nei ko te paparahi - Papatūānuku who lies here is the foundation. Like mother earth, foundations are what keep us standing and supported. They are the layers we build upon for growth. When it comes to business development there are core fundamentals that we must have in place to ensure a strong whare.  My role is to walk along side you ensuring you have the tools and skills necessary to achieve your pakihi aspirations.

Nō reira, tēnā tātou katoa.
